Saramotins had finished runner up for the last eight years (and third the year before that) and a few of those were very close so happy for him.

Kwiatkowski won in style but Bodnar was a bit disappointing if he only beat Gradek by 16 seconds.

Van Emden was actually leading through the first checkpoint but then blew his engine spectacularly and even got caught by TD. And yes very strong performance by Gesink losing less than a minute in a 50k TT vs. Tom!

Surprisingly, Floris Gerts didn't obliterate Dumoulin et al. in the Netherlands.

Would have expected Joeaar to win this. What happened to him? He was a solid rider at Cofidis, don't know why he left them.
