I remember during the 2015 Giro, after Ritchie got a 3 min penalty for the wheel change, Sky fans were shouting on twitter about Berto removing his helmet to remove his cap.
Needless to say, the jury didn't act. Shouldn't act now either.

what's the use of Impey and Edmondson ???

Impey was leading out Edmondson - First time I've known that Edmondson is a sprinter - He's supposed to be a classics rider.

Yes, it was ridiculous. The Sky fans shouting for a DSQ for Berto even more so.

Yes, this Movistar - BMC thing is indeed going to go on all year. As Brian Holm often says, 'cykelryttere husker som elefanter' which basically means bikes rider remember this stuff very, very well, remember like elephants.

I think he should be disqualified - if not for anything else then just sheer stupidity (yes, I know that isn't a valid reason).

But come on, dude, you were so keen on the rulebook being followed to the letter the other day, and now you do this? How stupid can you possibly be?

Also, it is not entirely comparable with the Contador case because he didn't ride without hands on his handlebars in the middle of the goddamn peloton with no helmet two days after having been a complete crybaby in wanting a non-offense being punished harshly.

I don''t think they like each other at all either, especially not now. There's some sense of mutual respect between Movistar and Sky tho.

The helmet rule has NEVER been interpreted in a way that would allow to kick out TJVG. Precedence is on his side.

Until this week, nor has guiding a team-mate with a pat during the TTT. Either rules are strictly applied or they're not. According to the rules a helmet has to be worn at all times - if it is not, then the rider should be disqualified. For absolute idiocy he should really be thrown out anyway.

Clearly they interpreted it as pushing, for which there is precedent of applying the rules exactly as they ended up doing. So not the same case at all.
