It looks like he was the stronger of the two. De la Cruz burned his matches early with his attack.Alexandre B. said:Enric Mas rode a superb race but what was he doing![]()
I believe so too, but if it actually was the case, he should have attacked. He didn't go for the win, he didn't help his teammate and almost got him kicked off the podium and he basically rode Lopez to the line, which is an incredibly dumb thing to do.perico said:It looks like he was the stronger of the two. Question: Who decision was it - the rider or DS?DNP-Old said:I believe so too, but if it actually was the case, he should have attacked. Probably the DS. They set de la Cruz up with Alaphilippe up the road, but they weren't able to get a gap. Mas stayed on Landa's wheel when this happened. My take is the plan was to use de la Cruz to see if he could isolate Landa or get away. They isolated him, but super talent or not, Mas isn't dropping Landa at 22 years old.can3478 said:Question: Who decision was it - the rider or DS?DNP-Old said:I believe so too, but if it actually was the case, he should have attacked. Thanks for your response. This strategy might be good if they had waited for another 5/6km up the climb.perico said:Probably the DS.
