team sky for me is the huge favourite , their team is impressive ,
Sunweb and BMC aren't giving up much, if anything, to Sky. They should fill the podium places, but the order will be interesting. Quickstep and Orica aren't quite as strong as in the past but should round out the top 5.

Looks like a very nice course, would be surprised if Sky didn't win this one. Not a huge of the team time trial by any means but its better than no cycling.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned LottoNL-Jumbo yet. Recently in Tour of Britain's ITT they had 3 riders in the top5 and one in 12th place. Lat year they finished fifth and I wouldn't be surprised if they challenge for a medal. Though on paper there are at least three superior teams (BMC, SKY, Sunweb).

When you look at the startlists, it's actually amazing how much TT talent there is at the moment. Quite a lot of teams look great on paper. I reckon: Sky, BMC, Sunweb in that order.

Agree with those names for the podium although it may be different order for 2nd/3rd. QST then just ahead of Lotto-NL with Orica just sneaking into top 6.

Ironically, even though a lot less WT teams start, this seems to be the closest the competition will be since the start

Virtu did have the problem that Neben and Villumsen, their two biggest TT engines, haven't raced too much this season and have spent a lot of time in North America, so they perhaps haven't had the same time to put their TTT corps together as some of the others. They're paying for that now, with just 4 remaining on the climb. Boels are favourites to retain I think, they're slightly below Cervélo's pace so far but they've got much more depth for the uphill part of the race, Cervélo will probably have to rein in Ludwig and AMP to prevent them from breaking up the rhythm too much.
