This opening prolog ITT sounds like it was interesting. Appears this is one I'm going to have to search for so I can watch.

What about tomorrow? Looks like an interesting stage, let's see if some GC guys will try something.

Chapeau Bling & Tom Bohli! Let's see what happens when the real race starts. Lumpy, stage 1 - 166 km long

Hopefully there will be attacks from the favourites on the climbs. LottoNL Jumbo sports director said (I'm quoting): "the goal is to get through the day without any stress. I expect that a group of about sixty men will sprint for the win". I hate to hear this. What a terrible approach to the stage in my opinion. It's the second most difficult stage (apart from MTT) of the race for ***'s sake. Riders please don't listen to him. There's plenty terrain for proper racing tomorrow.

Someone will attack somewhere. Who and from which team, who knows, but well someone had better attack.

Very curious to see how Latour does in the MTT, he seems in excellent shape again.

I wish all races would use one of 2 profile designs, either Vuelta style or Giro style.

I just hoped this is raced hard. If it comes down to a larger group that Matthews outsprints that will be wholly disappointing.

Really interested to see how Bernal goes this week. Dear god it's incredible the talent coming out of Colombia (and, specifically, Boyaca) at the moment.

But I'll go with Omar Fraile to take a typically opportunistic win.

Although close by and in the same plateau, Zipaquira is in Cundinamarca, very close to Bogotá.
Cundinamarca has had many exceptional riders like Herrera

Good correction, thanks indeed. I was there last year and (wrongly) assumed it part of Boyaca.

Apparently Bohli spend a whole day duing a recon of the prologue with his track cycling coach and trained a lot of the prologue.

I don't think Albasini will be a factor, he seems to lack form.

If it's ridden conservatively, which looks like it is regarding the remaining gap, well Mattehws has it in the pocket. If Colbrelli makes it, he is is only serious rival, I guess.
