Dani Martinez turned 22 yesterday and is quietly up to 13th. In a world where everyone is looking at Gaudu and Bernal, he is slowly but surely confirming his talent. Being born in the same year as Gaudu, but already in his 4th year as a pro. Really eager to see what he can show tomorrow!

Cummings is a bit of an enigma, isn't he. Doesn't come across as a likeable character to me at all.

Really ? Whenever I saw him interviewed or he was on TV as a guest commentator he seemed fine.
He doesn't seem to be much of a teamplayer at all, on the road or in articles as well, apparently. Remember when he was just sitting at the back while the rest of his team was helping Cav out? Guy also seems pretty upset about getting selected for MSR, you know, thats what you are getting paid for, lol.

I have no idea what person he really is but I seem to recall listening to one of his former teammates saying that Cummings was a very friendly and humble chap.
Whether that is true or not, it is just so tempting nowadays to create impression of someone based on something completely misleading or irrelevant.

The thing with him is the fact that he didn't progess durning the 2 years at Wilier, but he was already a big talent before that.
Not too happy about Fabbro entering the breakaway today, I'd have prefered to see a rested Fabbro going all out in the MTT.
Another good win for De Gent, he really is a breakaway specialist.

He was very good in the fall classics last year. But yes, he has thrown away basically 2.5 years with Wilier and Corti. If he doesn't crash in the Laurens de Plus turn, who knows how far he goes.

He's probably a bit of an individualist, but he's probably the only British rider who's friends with Nibali, but Nibali is also on friendly terms with Visconti and Fuglsang who also prefer to ride for themself.

He actually did well under Corti, 8th on gc in the Tour of Utah at the age of 19, that's the reason why I was a bit upset when he signed with Luca Scinto. Savio is a bit sleazy, but I'd take him over Scinto any day of the week.

Riding with De Gendt in a breakaway is about the 6th level of hell I recon

Yeah, I wonder when you're with De Gendt in the breakaway should you be happy or not. You can be sure he'll be strong and do a lot of work, but you can also be sure you'll have to be very strong to be able to just keep his wheel until the end...

Wilier/Scinto are the pinnacles of incapacity in developing talents, a bunch of buffoons who are relying on their relationship with RCS in order to survive (they are always invited at Giro). Just look at Marezko; he hasn't done any progress in last years and continues riding mainly in Marocco or in China. Androni is one of the best teams in the world in the "budget-results" rate, comparing Savio with Scinto is a joke. if Martinez had gone to Savio he would be extremely hyped by now, not at Bernal's level but very hyped.
