Weather report: 7°C, drizzle, not much wind.

???

At Sporza they are saying the wind is significant, Gilbert said pre-race he expects the wind to be a decisive factor and all the weather forecasts I can find give 20-30km/h winds (that's not a ton of wind, you might expect more from the Sporza and Gilbert hype, but it's enough for echelons to be a serious possibility if its open and you have crosswinds, which will happen at parts.).

Yeah, both Sagan and Benoot mentioned it being windy this morning as well.

Rain and wind are both increasing at the moment.

I really wonder where you get your weather reports. The two reports I'm checking both suggest the wind is dropping slightly throughout the day. :p

It's weird that, after a period of mediocre results, the level of pro cycling has increased a lot in the Netherlands but not in these kind of races. I could see only 6 Dutch guys doing well. Dumoulin and Kelderman aren't riding because they focus on GTs (and Kelderman is injured as always), Boom had heart surgery, Langeveld has done nothing in recent years apart from last years Paris-Roubaix, Van Baarle sold his soul to Team Sky and Terpstra, well he is just Terpstra. I'd rather see anyone else on the startlist win

I'm about 10 K from Harelbeke. I'm just terrible at weather reports. I can confirm that it just stopped raining.

The group isn't waiting at all. :(

Means a lot of the favourites are already out of it or will be seriously tired if they ever get back on. QS seem to be hammering it.

People complain when there's no action until the last few kms and you complain when there is some halfway into the race. It know it was due to a crash but still..
