Ofc Sagan is cooked, he's done so much work already and he always has a couple Qs riders on his wheel. He's no Cancellara.

What work ? He relied on Oss 95% of the time
More like Oss was nowhere to be seen 95% of the time. Idk if we were watching the same stream but it was clear when the QS duo went that Sagan wasn't going to win.

Maybe this kind of training was not the right choice.

Stybar back to just following and following and following and following. Omloop was an anomaly.

You have got to be kidding me. Of course he has to follow given the situation.

Yeah, he should have worked hard to drag GVA and Sagan over to his two team-mates.

He has always been alone in the Classics he probably has his best team ever currently and even when he was alone he almost always managed to get wins or at least very decent performances.

He could try using a bit of initiative like Gilbert.

Not in a situation like this. When the race is on so early he rarely does well.

Like Phil?

Wouldn't be very smart if both of them attacked, when they have so many in front would it? One of them might as well play back up and get a free ride. It's called tactics. You aren't serious are you?

With a decent form of his he would have been at very least to follow GVA. So far his performance is pathetic

Stybar ALWAYS takes the back up role. That's my point

hard to go against team orders, pretty sure he would like to win aswell, but in the given situation, this is the right thing to do in my opinion.

If I where Gilbert, I would attack soon. The peloton is getting closer.

It's better to have three cards than two.

Sagan overrated
He killed himself with that unnecessary big effort trying to bridge. At a time when he had an ally in Benoot, who was working well with him to bring down the gap.

I'm struggling to think of another rider who so consistently makes bad tactical decisions.
Nah, I've said it for a while I think he is overrated, also psychically. I just don't think he is as strong as advertised in these kind of races

When was the last time he's done well when the race was on so early? I'm not surprised at all.
