Bennett should be seriously annoyed with his team after being the only sprinter to make the lead group.
Because they worked their asses of and weren't strong enough? While Bennett has done **** all all day?

Because they didn’t work when they needed to. Between them all they were certainly strong enough. They had five men in the group. They should have been all on the front throughout the finale. They weren’t.

Smaller gear and Denz wins the stage.

What a bad sprint for Denz

He should have stayed on his wheel till the last metres, and then passed, instead of sprinting in the wind straight up.

Inexperience. First time ever for him as a pro that he fought for a stage win.

Mohoric deserved it, he was clearly the stronger rider who was doing the longest pulls. Denz had done well to hang on to bring it down to a sprint.

Even so, trying to out hard-man Mohoric in a long parallel sprint was not very clever.

Mohoric is almost unbeatable in soft, rolling hills.

One of the few riders that can make 2/3%/-2/3% gradients challenging.

Best stage of this years Giro along with the Etna one till now. Chapeau to Mohoric. MAL can't continue to lose time like this...

Such tactical ineptitude from Androni - The team had no idea when to attack - The way the stage was raced in the first 140 kms, always gave a breakaway a chance in the final part of the stage.

Ballerini earned 19 points in the former intergiro classification!

Wth? Denz closed a 30-40 sec gap to Mohoric and Villella on his own and still did phenomenal efforts after closing in on them.

Sometimes I wonder if people even watch their television

Mohoric broke off the front of the peleton and once he rode up to Villella he was doing most of the riding. Denz then closed the gap mostly on the 10km descent where he took some risks but Mohoric was clearly the stronger of the two since Denz had used up so much energy just to get up to Mohoric.
