Cavendish crashing… give the guy a break!
And I don't mean broken bone...
Or, maybe not... bit confused now.

But UAE just managed to get their second win in one day, Consonni takes it.
He didn't crash. The Dimension data rider that went down in the first crash was Renshaw.

I think Cavendish made it out okay, it was his teammate Renshaw that crashed, but I guess Cavendish got help up as well. As did Kittel.

Yeah. Was just going to post that. Maybe Renshaw decided that if a Mark had to crash it better be him, strange tasks you sometimes get as a lead-out man.

That was ridiculous just before Majka crashed how they suddenly found themselves on elevated bike path. A marshal should stand there. Majka probably did not realise that suddenly there was a curb and went down.

Yeah I was thinking they should have perhaps closed off that bike path. But then they did go over that part three times as well.

Elevated bike path on the right, road on the left:

Ah - It was Mezgec's aggression that caused the chain reaction which lead to Ewan and others crashing - Good team-work ! The stage gave no information about the form of the leading sprinters.

#TourOfSlovenia: Good news in that @CalebEwan is all OK after his crash today. He has taken some skin, but has avoided anything serious.

Bonifazio nearly caused another crash at the very end. That dude sprints like he’s riding a bumper car at the fair. There was one Giro sprint where he successively made contact with four different riders in about five seconds.

If Bonifazio hadn’t swung all over the place, Pelucchi might have edged out Consonni. A pity for him, as he doesn’t get many opportunities to win himself on a team with at least three sprinters ahead of him in the pecking order.

The pure sprinters all turning up to a race that nobody really care about and then all miss the sprint, maybe the only opportunity in the race. Lol. (Un)fortunately they will have too many chances in France as per usual

Question is who he has taken it from!

Yes, it's good to have something to spare in case of a future crash but not particularly nice to take skin off somebody.

Ramsay Bolton comes to mind.

Nifty riding to stay on his bike. I guess in the final sprint he looked at the crazy weaving ahead of him and decided that discretion is the better part of valour.

Im a Cavendish fan, but it looks like he is done.

That is what everyone, including me, said two years ago. I still somehow think he will be very competitive in the Tour.
