2019 Giro d'Italia Stage 20: Feltre - Monte Avena 194 km

Landa still has a mathematical chance of overtaking Nibali and/or holding off Roglic, so he'll keep fighting

Well done, Carapaz, he still needs to avoid disaster in the time trial. This isn't the processional parade where the entire peloton will stop if the leader has any kind of mishap

Wow Carapaz Strong until the very end! Well earned young man! Chapeau to Bilboa for his 2nd stage win.

Nibali...not enough legs :(

The legs were there, he just lost his reason during stage 14.

Certainly there are regrets, Carapaz was the stronger climber but was vastly underestimated.
Might have been a lot more close otherwise, but the whole race mechanics would change, so who know?
The strongest rider won in the end, that has always been my view on cycling, there are no excuses when you end behind. :D

You can't be serious. There's no way Landa will finish on the podium.

Good points, too. Carapaz might have been able to take a few more seconds in other spots if the race were closer. Richi is clearly the top rider in this year's Giro, very well-earned title.

Sure, no excuses and there should also be no regrets. It happens. He was himself again, 11th podium. The future looks bright at... 34. That win will come in Le Tour, stage win.

If Nibali felt like a million dollars in Stage 14 he would've dropped Roglic like a stone and glued himself to Carapaz's wheel. Obviously he couldn't.

These riders were marking rivals way further down in the standings than Carapaz so no way Nibali was playing chicken unless he was near his limit.

Has Landa ever won a sprint ? Wonder how Lopez feels ? Maybe like hitting a spectator ! Zakarin's descending once again..........Movistar rode a good stage, Nibali like Roglic fought hard. If The Gavia was included in the race would it have changed much ? May have cost Landa a podium but not much else. Movistar never looked in much danger in the mountains. Ciccone one of the riders of the race.

Nobody could follow his attack om San Carlo, too strong. Nibali gambled after the descent, but I still think that he had his reasons, let hin gain so much time that Roglic is also forced to work.
Still, Richie was the strongest climber and he earned it, Movistar also raced a perfect race.

Could Lopez incur some kind of penalty? Idiot fan but one has to think hitting someone twice will be frowned on.
If so, there is only one penalty available: disqualification.

Though that's not to say the commissaires won't make something up.
