More drama yet, from Landa.
Translation:
Tremendous anger of Mikel Landa! "Yates is a ***, he threw me in a roundabout, he goes like crazy" The Movistar broker spoke with @JAEzquerro

It's getting exciting. Also used the f word in Spanish, at least that's what google translate tells me.

Damn, I almost forgot that short clip where Salvatore showing his bike handling artistry.
Sad thing that Tom is out of the big game.

Yates crashed indeed, he said that himself in an interview, hit his hip and elbow I think.
Btw it's just me or the forum keeps crashing and being unavailable for lengths of time, kinda every day?!
Is there any fix or is it common?
Sadly it's a common thing we've been telling managment about for a while now and nothing keeps happening

I see, thanks, at least I know now, was trying everything on my end!
It's important, I need to spam nonsense during the stage, I won't enjoy cycling as much otherwise !

Some people find using VPNs get them back in. It worked for me, even though I had to switch countries as the first one failed after awhile.

Oh boy, what a day, I hate crashes, sad for those involved :(

Believe there was a crash at a roundabout about 500 metres after the crash at 6km to go - Who knows what happened but it split the bunch by half.

Might be that's when Roglic took off with the front group.

For sure, Landa, Yates and Pozzo crashed there.

Yeah gonna try with a VPN when it happens (though didn't work last time).

Gutted to see the Tom out of the giro, but he will be back with a vengeance in tdf, sticking on the back of the sky train and beat them in the tt’s:) The ego of the 3 Ineos leaders won’t permit them to attack independently to make him chase in the mountains. Glory will be his! (strong fan disclaimer).

Vincenzo Nibali will win this bike race. MAL second and Roglic third after one suboptimal day in the mountains. Yates to crash out doing “the stare” in the third week.

Steephill.tv has a video clip of the moment of the crash from the front camera. It starts already when some riders are down in the middle of the bunch so you can not see how it started but you can clearly see around 30 riders escaping the crash, including Mitchelton and Lopez. Then they show scenes from heli and when they return to the front, the original 30-men group is already split. So there must have been something very shortly after the crash which caused the final selection.

It's disappointing what happened to Dumoulin today. After 4 days of racing I have to say that it seems to be shaping up to be a good Giro though as long as no more big names crash and everyone is healthy.

There is talk of a second crash in a roundabout very soon after the big crash. Yates went down, and Landa is blaming Yates for the crash. I have not seen any video footage of that second crash, however.

So from the CN reporting I understand that Dumoulin was in fact a victim of the second Yates/Landa crash? That would be particularly bad luck...

No, it was Puccio's crash that took him out.

Landa is probably just sad that his career has taken a nosedive over the last 2 years. No excuse for that sort of language, classless.

Is there a source for that? This is from CN piece on Yates:
Asked if his team leader had had a narrow escape, Mitchelton-Scott’s sports director Matt White said “Definitely. Simon got through the first crash, but then he went down on the roundabout, the same crash that Tom [Dumoulin-Sunweb] went down on, but in Simon’s case only losing 16 seconds to Roglič in the finish.”
