Lol overreact much. Roglic did fine. He is going for the big prize, he did well only following wheels in the end. 4 bonus seconds won't matter in the long run. He tried to follow Carapaz but got boxed in, then waited for Ulissi to jump because his team's been working but Ulissi didn't go. Then it was too late for the stage so there was no point in sprinting for 4th. Very happy how he managed his efforts today. Obviously he was lucky when the crash happened.

I'm very sorry for Tom. Hopefully the injury isn't serious and he'll be able to continue. I was really looking forward to the battle of the fantastic four.

Great win for Carapaz. Congrats.

It really does look like Roglic does not try at all on the hill.

Very sympathetic.

Smart to not dig too deep. Stuff like that adds up in the end also.
he also should refrain from stepping on the podium for the pink jersey. One step too many today, one tomorrow... and on Manghen he loses 30 mins

Plus he drinks every time from the champagne bottle.
Drinking should be absolutely mandatory.

In fact, if you lead the Giro for more than a week, that *** bottle should be empty by the end of the week. No matter how drunk, you're still less than a danger than Wilco Kelderman.

Primoz just said the group he was with were just stronger. Plus that it was a pity that guys lost time because of a crash.

Wasn't that evident to anybody not being a blind fanboy?

So youre willing to make a 95% effort, but not 100% and grab the bonis and the stage if you can? Dont believe it at all. Most likely he couldn't.

ESsport UK thought maybe he wasnt able to

I think he would have taken all time he could and a win...he is competitive and he may need the time in the future
He may have been abit shocked to find him self in the position

Gee, Ewan must be frustrated - Rode the stage beautifully to have Carapaz just win.
Guess its the typical sprinter gene just to assume its getting down to the sprint. He sat on the last wheel when he attacked and couldnt really respond. More attention, he jumps and beats him in the sprint.

Ewan rode the stage as he should - The difference is that when Ewan went with 300m to go he couldn't make the ground like a climber type such as Yates.

Bad racing luck. looks like a wheel touch and a split second of inattention.

Bummer for Dumoulin et al, but maybe we'll see some bold attacks or alliances if the gaps remain.

RAI's zoom of the crash, Puccio checks back just as a wave makes Hamilton drift left. Lopez on left behind, Nibali behind to the right, manage to avoid falling

Interesting to see that Landa was ahead and still lost so much time.
This is the best Landa Unze has ever seen?

He wasn't really flying in the 2018 Tour, so maybe it is true.

RAI said Pozzovivo crashed a couple km after the first crash. Perhaps Landa was involved?

Okay, then let's just say that three flat stages have worn Roglic completely down. The Roglic that won uphill sprints with his fingers in his nose last week and who destroyed the entire field in the opening time trial.

Veeeeery plausible.
You're acting as if a) the sprinting field at Romandie was world class and b) like those finishes and stages were as easy as today. He was beaten today by five more explosive riders, including two out and out sprinters, on a false flat. It is very plausible that he just didn't have it in him to beat them. A week ago Geraint Thomas was coming third and a washed up rui costa second - surely you can see the difference?

Conflicting reports? Matt White said none of their riders crashed.

If Carapaz had not won, I very much would have been able to see the difference.
