Not sure what Ewan was doing. Butchered the stage win.

Carapaz just caught everyone with surprise with that attack. Not enough road left for Ewan.

Gee, Ewan must be frustrated - Rode the stage beautifully to have Carapaz just win.

I saw 3 Movistar riders at the front when the Sky rider crashed, weird that Landa wasn't there..

Lil Richie will be good this Giro, but he will lose lots of time nexy Sunday I think.

It really does look like Roglic does not try at all on the hill.

Very sympathetic.

Smart to not dig too deep. Stuff like that adds up in the end also.

I feel badly for Big Tom :(. Hopefully he is okay!

Meanwhile the other big names (sans Landa who I never counted as a big name) managed to salvage the day and only lose 16 seconds. Great recovery and it keeps the race well in reach for them. It's Not over folks!

Who is the rider that caused the mayhem?

Guess its the typical sprinter gene just to assume its getting down to the sprint. He sat on the last wheel when he attacked and couldnt really respond. More attention, he jumps and beats him in the sprint.

It's a 30s effort lol.

He didn't get top 3 cause he couldn't. Simple as that.

Saw Landa's face when he arrived and he seemed cooked.

So youre willing to make a 95% effort, but not 100% and grab the bonis and the stage if you can? Dont believe it at all. Most likely he couldn't.

he also should refrain from stepping on the podium for the pink jersey. One step too many today, one tomorrow... and on Manghen he loses 30 mins

Puccio.

Landa lost Amador's wheel a few seconds before the crash happened.

Nope, he wasn't able to hold Ulissis wheel and lost 2 seconds, it looked like the others were just better on that final.

Just look at his style on the final few hundred metres. He just looks like he is chilling. He doesn't look like a guy riding hard at all.

And Froome looks like he's struggling just before he goes 3 times as fast.

It's just his style.

Well, after that leadout by UAE, surely everybody was thinking Ulissi was the guy to follow.

Okay, then let's just say that three flat stages have worn Roglic completely down. The Roglic that won uphill sprints with his fingers in his nose last week and who destroyed the entire field in the opening time trial.

Veeeeery plausible.
