Anybody knows if he got ill or did the team possibly decide the Maglia Rosa was priority no. 1 now, so he went home? Doesn't really make sense otherwise as there are still three sprint stages ahead of the mountains.

No news so far.

Apparently he has pain in his left knee.

Yeah, there has to be something wrong. Even if the team decided not to care about anything other than pink, they wouldn’t send him home. He’d be let do his own thing in the sprints and otherwise asked to help out.

Gap coming down, this is absolutely brutal!!

Zinoviev, agreed, it must be enough to not risk him. Otherwise just let him ride, surf wheels and see what he can do.

Pozzo sent to do some work. Nibali had a fixation with Bilbao at Tour of the Alps while Sivakov was getting away, somebody has to tell him MAL is the leader.
