Wouldn't be shocked if nobody is within a minute to roglic. Looking at how dominant he was in Bologna I think the time gaps will be quite a lot bigger than people here think

Did everybody forget about the Paris-Nice ITT?

I think he will be very close, and maybe even faster than Roglic.

Did you forget about all of Roglic's TTs except the one in the Tour?

Rogla
Nibali + 1 minute
Yates + 1.20
Jungels + 1 30
Lopez + 1.35

Thats your top 5.

Yates within 10 secs of Nibs, both more or less around a minute down on Roglic. That's the top three.

We're 8 days in. Form isn't stagnant. That ITT was a lot more anaerobic than this one. Fatigue will be a factor.

Still expect big gaps from Roglic, guess I just disagree that Bologna is the reason for that.

Interesting that Slongo talks more about Yates then Roglic -
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/gir...it-losses-to-roglic-in-san-marino-time-trial/
"All of our rivals are dangerous," Slongo stressed. "But Yates is a rider who has already won a Grand Tour and he's shown that he can handle the third week. He showed that at the Vuelta last year. We've seen that he's a strong rider, and he's built towards the Giro just like Vincenzo. In my opinion, he's a very dangerous man."

Do BM think Roglic will be like Yates in 2018 and blow up in week 3?

Could be that and the fact Yates is a better climber with a better team than Roglic.

Well if Roglic can't be dropped in the mega mountains it's basically GG anyway. Getting ahead of Yates would be a significant tactical advantage.

That said I think it's strange they refer to his Vuelta win. Vuelta Yates wasn't really scary for 3rd week Nibali in the Dolomites.

Who do you guys think the rain will hamper the most? We know Nibali should go good in the rain, what about others?

Excuse me, I have a silly!

On ITT stages like this - where they cross an international border - riders should be required to show their passports. Just to see who can do it fastest.
Wouldn't work on a road racing stage, though.

With lines and random border control officers appointed? Pretty random who gets the line with the guy who just went on a coffee break or has to check the passport with a magnifying glass.

During the reconnaisance ride in the morning they can check the officers out and use social skills to deduce which line would be the best to queue up in.

Maybe not a detailed check. Just, hold the passport out.

That is rain, in the second part.
I guess it would be problematic in the first part, less in the final km.

Mareczko +10:29 on Scott Davies who leads in 54:29 (38.324 km/h). He is going home soon.

The winning time would have to be under 50 minutes for that, which I somewhat doubt
