Wouldn't be shocked if nobody is within a minute to roglic. Looking at how dominant he was in Bologna I think the time gaps will be quite a lot bigger than people here think

Yates within 10 secs of Nibs, both more or less around a minute down on Roglic. That's the top three.

We're 8 days in. Form isn't stagnant. That ITT was a lot more anaerobic than this one. Fatigue will be a factor.

Still expect big gaps from Roglic, guess I just disagree that Bologna is the reason for that.

Well if Roglic can't be dropped in the mega mountains it's basically GG anyway. Getting ahead of Yates would be a significant tactical advantage.

That said I think it's strange they refer to his Vuelta win. Vuelta Yates wasn't really scary for 3rd week Nibali in the Dolomites.

On ITT stages like this - where they cross an international border - riders should be required to show their passports. Just to see who can do it fastest.
Wouldn't work on a road racing stage, though.

With lines and random border control officers appointed? Pretty random who gets the line with the guy who just went on a coffee break or has to check the passport with a magnifying glass.

During the reconnaisance ride in the morning they can check the officers out and use social skills to deduce which line would be the best to queue up in.

It's clearly 1% average in the 2nd third of the TT.

The winning time would have to be under 50 minutes for that, which I somewhat doubt
