No podium for Pinot nor Fuglsang, that is for sure. The worst is that it is entirely their own fault
Maybe, but apart from the INEOS duo, it's mostly 2nd grade favourites who gain time on Fuglsang/Pinot. But for sure, the battle for the overall win has now taken a step in an unfortunate direction.

Really brutal though. When Lutsenko gave everything he closed in to 13 seconds and now no helper is left and Pinot/Fuglsang/Porte are losing again big time.
Yeah, not smart to go that hard and drop everyone from that group. He should have gone a little bit easier and they might have limited their losses better than what they are doing now.

If they would have made it back, great. But closing a 30 second in the hill himself and drop everyone, while the group in front going full gas was not smart.

That was their best bet to come back, they should have gone full sprint without regard.
Yeah, guess Pinot and Porte should have jumped out of the group the moment Lutsenko blew up.

This is why it is so importan tto have a strong team like DQ , Jumbo , Movistar & Ineos

Otherwise you are doomed on GC
Only thing that sucks about this is that we'll be robbed of any chance of a GC battle in the mountains.
And why is the always the "good guys" that are caught behind in the crosswinds.
