Strange last 10 kms - Teams had multiple riders but little or no cohesion in the chase - A missed opportunity for sprinters.

Pretty much a sprint for the corner in one row of riders, very hard to see somebody win if they're not in the first 3 through that curve

Asgreen to take top 3 and keep the jersey after stage 3 :D

Excellent work from this young rider.

Wouldnt even surprise me that much, honestly. His development over the last 18 months has been phenomenal. He also seems to have a good sense of positioning and manuevering within the peloton so he might be able to round the last corner in a good position. Wont Sagan take the jersey if he wins the sprint though?

Asgreen can basically do everything on a bike. I just dont get how good he has become, its totally insane to think about this rider was riding at a continental level just last year. He is kinda a jack of all trades (dont think he will win that much), but he does everything well and has a great motor. He is the kinda dude that you would just love to be able to select for practically every race and do the job he is supposed to do, whether that being helping out, having a free role or being the captain.

One thing I find particularly interesting about Asgreen is, that despite him not being a sprinter at all, whenever he tries for a bunch sprint, he is able to get his run in right, and end up in perfect position, despite having no train to help him.

That is not normal, for an almost neo-pro TT specialist, who was bought to be a domestique, solely because another rider got a long term injury,

I wouldn't be too surprised if he was brought forward to pull the peloton, though perhaps mostly in case of an emergency, with Lampaert and Devenyns being first-pullers.
DQ wants a sprint (for Viviani), Mørkøv and Richeze are the lead-out men, Viviani obviously can't pull/be lead-out for himself, and Mas is the GC guy.

And imagine if Mas was Spanish champion, then they'd (for today at least) have a line-up with nobody wearing identical jerseys.

It's amazing how many of the classics riders (Van Baarle, Naesen, Asgreen and to some extent Trentin) who have surprised on the climbs.

People I expected to be pure specialists have turned out to be more like a versatile GVA type than Terpstra. In fact, there aren't many pure Northern classics specialists in the peloton.
