I can't grasp how shitty this Worlds has been. Shitty route change and no coverage, holy ***, can somebody not completely inept be in charge?
Boring. People hope for bad weather for a good race and then complain when the bad weather has the obvious impact of bad weather. The route change was totally inevitable if the weather is this bad (and this is not normal! This is horrendous). The coverage, hey it's an issue that happens in italy/France too in these circumstances. There's no point blaming those in charge when there's so much awful weather, it's hard to overcome it. You remember the 2013 giro right?

He won San Sebastien. (Though I don't discount the publicity value).

I think the distance was a little long for him, but tbh we don't really know his ceiling.
He did a 15km long pull and closed a gap of over a minute to bring back Gilbert. He reduced the gap to less than 10 seconds on the tail of the first group. He did his work. Not his fault Gilbert crashed and couldn't continue after the work he did. Ignore the troll.

He also hates rain, so if he chose to work for Gilbert, that might also have had something to do with it.
