They could have broadcast over mobile networks. Yes, it won't be a super 4k resolution, but better than nothing. It's pretty common in 1.2 races.

They gambled on weather being good rather than having a backup plan. Not acceptable for me.

They cant help Gilbert crashing.

The rest of the team only start pulling when it becomes apparent Glibert will not be able to continue.

They have to pull to make the race hard or else GVA will have fresher better sprinters there with him at the finish.

I don't see what else the Belgium team could have done except insist that Evenepoel listens to Gilbert and doesn't wait up for him.
