There has been some great racing this week, but sadly if you put all your eggs into one basket and only watch one race, these things can happen when the weather turns terrible.

To be fair, why wouldn't Remco try to pace Gilbert back? It proably wasn't apparent right away that he was hurt or shaken up.

Gilbert did tell him to leave him as probably knew instantly his race was done. I can understand though why Remco would be keen to help out there and just see if Gilbert may turn out to be ok after all.
