The dutch could still use 3 of their riders to chase for vos or vollering. Completely dumb riding all day. It was still possible to even chase kiesenhofer back if they decided to go full gas 10km earlier.

One of the charms of cycling is that there are a lot of ways to win a bike race, and sometimes even the ridiculous ones materialise

The Dutch just don't want to do the work for anyone, which is pretty much also the normal SD Worx tactic, but usually they just manage to get at least one rider into the winning move.
