Simon Carr's time is quite intriguing - top 15 at the moment, will probably be, what, top 30 by day's end? He came 4th on Senhora da Graça in the Volta a Portugal and finished top 20 on GC as a débutant with Nippo-Delko last year, so riding against the likes of Bernal and Nibali in the mountains of the Giro should be a cake-walk by comparison.
