Stage be hard for a breakaway here with it all being flat. Guys who could potentially hold on and win on Zoncolan will struggle to get into a break here I'd say.

Ponomar  He doesn't seem to be in any trouble in this race, hopefully he doesn't overestimate himself.

I have so many favourites here, but I was just thinking that it would be so cool if Caruso could reach the podium in the end, after all the bad luck that Bahrain has already had. And he's a steady guy and not bad in bad weather, is he?

Except that De Gendt tends to win something every once in a while, I guess.

But I really like this new Campenaerts, he's doing something for the races, even if not very successful for himself.

Affini is a beast.

Why didn't he show that last year when I had him in my cq-team?

Doesn't look like Bennett was the problem. They stopped chasing as soon as they bridged to the second group.

There was no one in that second group who was dangerous (unless Bernal wants to win the mountain jersey) so guessing it's just they want to keep the group size manageable

That really was a bit of an odd one.

Maybe they are just comfortable with Bennet and Trek in a small group where they need to work a lot but didn't want to allow a bigger pack to form that might give easier rides and get bigger time

Eurosport really overreeacting to the breakaway and Ineos. You'd think Vlasov was in the break...

That must have been the case

This has been a very welcome protracted fight to get away though.

Helps whittle down the dead KMs

Bit of an underwhelming break climbing wise, but it's to be expected with it going on the flat.
