Imagine if Landa had been there.
Yeah he looked less easy. High frequency lots of shoulder movement, etc. I'm not sure why he didn't just sit on Martinez.Hindsight is easy, but Bernal looked very labored following Yates' attack. No really need when hes so long back and you have Martinez
Caruso had no other better choices anywayMaybe that plus dessert for Caruso................
Joao almeida! Amazing ride, he improved is climbing skills. What a shame that stage four. Just 22 years, he will be in the fight in the next years for grand tours.
But Scinto never took him to the Giro...Lorenzo Fortunato 12th on the hardest stage of the race from the bunch
I was agreeing with you. I’ve stopped reading threads on this forum because if it’s not about Colombians it’s about micro analyzing if Remco chews his bars correctly
Yes if he let Ineos chase he would have lost more time to Yates but maybe could have put time into Bernal near the top.Caruso had no other better choices anyway
Still think there's a 0% chance Bernal loses this. Not with this team at his back. Any long range effort is completely doomed. It's also not like Bernal got dropped by 15 guys today.
Ineos might even put time into rivals on the flats tomorrow if there are crosswinds.Still think there's a 0% chance Bernal loses this. Not with this team at his back. Any long range effort is completely doomed. It's also not like Bernal got dropped by 15 guys today.
Caruso has impressed me. If he can do a good TT even better.Martin, brilliant.
Almeida, phenomenal.
Yates, fantastic.
Martinez, excellent (minus the questionable pacing when Bernal was dropped).
Caruso, very good.
Bernal, still in pole position. Maybe it's only a bad day or maybe we have an open race again. Great final 5km.

Unless it is his back. Otherwise, I agree with you - he still outclimbed almost all the other GC guys.Still think there's a 0% chance Bernal loses this. Not with this team at his back. Any long range effort is completely doomed. It's also not like Bernal got dropped by 15 guys today.

It was a performance reminiscent of Froome on Los Machucos but also of Yates on Prato Nevoso. If it was just a bad day I agree he'll still win, if his body is struggling otoh...Still think there's a 0% chance Bernal loses this. Not with this team at his back. If bernal is again with problems on his back, he will be in trouble.Still think there's a 0% chance Bernal loses this. Not with this team at his back. Any long range effort is completely doomed. It's also not like Bernal got dropped by 15 guys today.
