Ineos went all out after the first climb and the peloton broke in pieces. De Marchi was all the way in the back of the peloton at that point. How was de Marchi dropped? Did he make a mistake or just wasn't good enough to stay with the favourites?

This, I can kinda understand Ciccone, but he even has a teammate up on the road.DS should advise Bardet to sit up. Ciccone is not pulling.
It's common for the peloton to be slower downhill than smaller groups.Move of bardet et al. looked cool at first (though not too promising), but ciccone seems to do nothing but argue now. Still peloton not getting back time, but might be GPS hickups
Why should CIccone work with a team mate in front?
He should stay calm and not get baited into working.
Shouldn't Bettiol just stay in peleton to help Carthy just in case?If I were Ciccone I would stay as far as possible from the EF bus after the finish.
Bettiol is an idiot though. Why the hell would ciccone take any turns here?If I were Ciccone I would stay as far as possible from the EF bus after the finish.
Anxious to show who's Trek leader. But what is he doing there in the first place?
I don't think you can say that yet. Sosa's terrain still has to come later in the Giro. With Sivakov out Ineos doesn't have too many mountain domestiques left.Good decision to drop Sosa for Narvaez.
