Also, the fact that Ineos have Ganna and DQS have Cavagna may make long solo attacks more challenging, as either of those two guys can close gaps on the flat (and on moderate hills, too).

Yes, this is true, but if Bernal and Remco end up in the front group with Cavanga and Ganna and other GC guys are behind, those other guys could lose minutes on the stage. If likes of Vlasov, Carthy, Yates, Buchmann etc are distanced on the stage, their GC prospects could be over if the likes of Ineos and QS drill it.
