The solution is known as death.
According to today's article on La Stampa, the missing 4th stage is simply non-existant. Stage 8 is gonna be two stages instead, Notaresco - Termoli and Vasto - Foggia. The article "confirms" the ITT in Perugia and keeps Bergamo in as stage 18. If that's the case, we should be done.
also no. They should climb the Sutrio side, the one from 2003.Thanks. And zoncolan by the most difficult side?
quite likely.How likely is this?
After the 2020 Tour ITTs are officially badalso no. They should climb the Sutrio side, the one from 2003.
quite likely.
Today the usual Cicloweb source told us that according to his sources:
Frankly I hope he's wrong, no mid-Giro ITT would be *** and also the rest day before Cortina and not after would be a terrible idea...
- stage 8 Foggia - Guardia Sanframondi
- stage 10 L'Aquila - Foligno, no ITT
- rest between stages 15-16, not 16-17
- stage 18 Rovereto - Stradella
- stage 19 starts in Vigevano, not in Busto Arsizio
- stage 21 Senago - Milano ITT
When was the last time that a flat stage finished in Molise?7 Notaresco - Termoli
Agreed.Frankly I hope he's wrong, no mid-Giro ITT would be *** and also the rest day before Cortina and not after would be a terrible idea...
uh, tough question...When was the last time that a flat stage finished in Molise?
I think the latter. There are already many MTFs in the route and up to now all rumours have just said Sestola, without hinting at finishing above the town.Agreed.
Also, Eshnar, do you have any ideas regarding Sestola – are we looking rather at Passo del Lupo (2014-style) or Pian del Falco and then into the town (2016-style)?
I found an answer.uh, tough question...
Just present every stage at the stage starting podium.According to Tuttobiciweb the presentation is gonna happen on the 15th.
I'm sure eventually we will get it. Hopefully before May...
it's usually a mix of all interested parties. In the specific case of Alpe di Mera, it seems the town of Borgosesia is the most involved. It depends case by case I guess.Who pays for stage finishes in places like Alpe di Mera and Sega di Ala? Regional authorities? Nearby towns? Does bigger ski resorts like in Sestriere, Cervinia or somewhere in the Dolomites ever pay for stage finishes?
The only real downside is the amount of work @Eshnar would have to do daily for his Giro route analysis thread.Just present every stage at the stage starting podium.
that's a weird way to spell Giro

This is because the Tour announcement day is the best opportunity you get during the whole year to complain about route design choices?Tour route announcement day
Everybody gets that opportunity. This is because the Tour announcement day is the best opportunity you get during the whole year to complain about route design choices?
Haha, true. I guess a majority complains, just not in equally strong terms. I think my most frequent used description of Tour routes is "mediocre"....Everybody gets that opportunity.
But only a few heroes truly exploit it.
I found an answer.
Bari - Termoli, Stage 10 1987
Between then and now, there have also been 4 mountain top finishes at Campitello Matese, and a hilly stage which finished in Campobasso.
yeah but it's probably not gonna be a tt, and the route overall will suffer a lot from it. My biggest hopes are stages 11 and 12. In particular if certain rumours are correct stage 11 might very well be considered the queen stage.Stage 10 badly needs to be an ITT. But it's looking fairly decent overall.
