Vingegaard is in holiday mode?
On this route and without a one day pedigree surely Denmark has 8 better riders they can find?
Probably gonna make Anders Lund's job a bit easier if a few riders take themselves out of contention for the lineup.

Is Charmig gonna go on the attack on every stage?
Vinegaard opted out of the Olympics to spend time with his family. He still has until the 13th of September to impress Lund.
But unless he has a deal with Lund, he obviously has to step up his game.
At least until the KOM is secured. I would have liked to see what he could have done in the GC, but getting to stand on the podium each day is definitely not a bad experience for him.
I wouldn't think opting out of the Olympics as the obviously best candidate would necessarily make him more likely for future selections...
I don’t get the purpose of that Pedersen attack
He forced the other teams to ride, which made helped Skjelmose, plus he had an advantage which amde it easier for himself to survive the climb without getting dropped. Of course he won't win now, but probably wouldn't have anyway.
Kristoff is just not as strong as he used to be either.
