I have Haig and Bardet, and Comodoro has Bardet and Kron, otherwise the points are self explanatory.

When the two most popular picks lose 88 points between them (Landa & Lopez), it is not a surprise that most teams end up in the red.

Otoxiep even takes more than half off his deficit in the 4 Seasons battle (although still 234 pts behind Leadbelly in that).

Tomorrow should be mainly about the green points.

Dainese causes some movement within each group, but essentially the gap between the have Jakobsens and the have-nots just grows.

Standings
As if the previous two days hadn't happened, TRiley is back to having a leading margin of almost 300 points. As Grossschartner droped from his second place, Otoxiep had to give back his briefly help leader's status.

Stage 10 An Odd sort of a day (sorry, couldn't resist)

Sorry it's late, like much of the peloton, I had a busy morning but by the afternoon I fancied an extension to the rest day.

The scores were modest, but enough to get Berflamand and Safebet into the top ten (3 and 4 place jumps respectively). Second placed Search also scored, but it will take a lot more than the odd sixth place to close the gap appreciably.

By contrast, much more going on here, even if much of it is temporary displacement.

When two unpicked riders vault across the top 18 riders on GC, it'll be bad news for the scores of everyone. Those who picked Kuss (0 points on the day) are probably the nearest we have to winners. We suffer in proportion to how well our teams were doing on GC, so last placed Koronin tops the day, and leader TRiley props up the table.

The Roglic teams probably don't need to fear their loss of points too much, although they will miss out on a few days of Red Jersey bonuses. Yates and Bernal teams are probably more bothered by this result, and those with Landa are probably just happy that the large majority of the other teams are suffering similarly.

Standings
More of a compression than a total overhaul.
†Tiebreakers move Otoxiep back to second (the tiebreaker penalises those with a big main scorer, and MV has Roglic)

A fairly tame second week means that the restoration of GC points to the more fancied riders (or some of them at least) probably won't happen for a while, but today's final kicker might shake up the order a bit.

Being the only Roglic team with Lopez again bears fruit for BitB, in this category at least.

I didn't manage to get it done before today's stage finished, but at least it is done.

Stage 13 So what happens if you have a sprint and no-one follows the train?

Yesterday's was probably the latest update I have ever done in these games, today might just be the quickest...

Tomorrow should see major points for the main GC riders, partly because they will be expected to challenge for the stage points, but largely because the odd interlopers at the top of GC would be expected to fall away.

Maybe tomorrow we'll see the restoration of expected order. Maybe the Roglic teams will have to wait a while longer before they start getting red jersey bonuses again.

I haven't mentioned the inter-forum championship for a while:
VeloRooms: 1093
CN Forum: 941

Stage 15 I didn't watch it, so I have no smart comment to make.

Koronin has Majka, Hamilton and Kuss; Bonimenier and Leadbelly both have Ciccone as well as Majka; Bminchow links Kruijswijk and Kuss; Safebet combines Yates, Ciccone and Kuss.

Top place on the day was not enough to move Koronin from the bottom of the table, but second was sufficient to get Leadbelly into the top ten.

I'm sure none of the chasers would have wished an accident on Ciccone, but TRiley's loss of one of his GC men opens up the competition a bit. Still some way to go to catch him though...

Once again, Lopez in addition to Roglic gives the day to Blues. SafeBet beats most of the Roglic teams, with Kuss, Lopez and Yates.

One of the Roglic teams (the top five today) had Lopez as his second most expensive, the rest have Landa. How to gain 150 points in a day.

With two fairly random breakaway stages to come, where the next stage points will go is anyone's guess, but it is very possible that there will be few of them won by selected riders.

Standings
Most of the teams who spent >60% of their budget on Roglic took Landa as their second GC man: Blues in the Bottle took Lopez instead, which pays off today, as he becomes the best placed challenger to TRiley.

So, two likely breakaway stages and a time trial to come. Roglic is likely to get more 36 leader points plus plenty of stage points in the TT, and there might be some GC movement, particularly on Sunday, but is there breakaway potential among the remaining riders of the top three teams?
You decide:

Reactions: Blues in the bottle
Sorry about the delay: the spreadsheet suddenly started reporting untenable scores, which eventually traced back to mishandling capital letters with diacritics, and was also being very inconsistent with the =INDIRECT formula, which is pretty key to bringing everything together on the results page.
If anybody with proper knowledge of Excel, rather than my self-taught hit and miss and lifting code from other sheets approach, would be able to cast any light on the matter, that would be much appreciated.

It was beyond my Friday night head, but I have repopulated all the results tabs and refreshed other bits: I think I can now process yesterday's results and get something meaningful. At least I am starting from a proper position of Thursday's standings.

Stage 19 How did they not catch that breakaway?

Red points
Other than the stage points and red jersey bonus, the main relevant detail is riders that were below Meintjes moving up GC a bit (I only watched the last 15km or so: Carlton must have been unconsolable). Modolo had been a fairly popular pick for those with not much budget left for their minor riders, but will not be giving an infinite percentage return.

Looking at the remaining riders for the top teams, as I posted them yesterday, I would suggest that the outcome depends on whether today's break stays clear. If Padun stays in it and scores well, the Roglic teams have definitely had it. But if all or most of the breakaway riders are caught, such that Roglic claws back most of what Cort gained yesterday, than TRiley will have to pray that some of the other time trialists have held back enough energy to limit the race leader's stage points tomorrow.

Or maybe all those projections I made this morning are thrown out the window entirely by a withdrawal.

I don't really see any TT points potential in TRiley's team, so a win or second for Roglic tomorrow should give the minor classification to Mellow Velo.

Red points
With 20 km to go, it seemed like there would be a few one or two place moves in the top ten, which might have seen a bit of a shake-up of the game, but at some mysterious point somewhere in the last 20km, two thirds of our teams lost 324 points relative to this morning.

Berflamand's multiple good picks today have already been noted: he also avoided the man to be avoided today. At least Lopez's capitulation disguises the loss that his countryman Bernal had for almost as many teams.

So many teams taking such a hit means that this is probably the biggest changes that we have had so late in a GT in these games, and only three of this morning's top ten are without Lopez .

I said above that Mellow Velo needs a win or second to take the Green classification here: he really only needs Roglic to finish to be safe with his win here. And assuming that Roglic finishes with a high finish, my comments of a couple of days ago about Rote Laterne missing out on a podium because of Meintjes DNFing will probably be proven wrong.

If Cort had held on for the win, he would have overtaken Jakobsen for stage points. Both of them are a long way behind Roglic though.

Another of my inaccurate projections: Roglic of course won the stage, but Cort's second place was enough for TRiley to hang on to the win in the minor classification.

De la Cruz didn't quite make the point scoring top ten on the stage, but he gets a final two place rise on GC, the only significant change there. Cort moves to third in the points classification.
