There is an old F1 story about Nelson Piquet accidentally inviting his wife and his lover to the same race weekend, and deliberately beaching his car at the opposite end of the circuit during free practice to avoid having to go back to the pits and see both together. Of course, James Hunt wouldn't have cared and would probably have hit on somebody else on his way back to the paddock too.

As expected, MVP won. Good fight by Girmay as well. MVP's advantage is not enough to be certain of GC victory but it would take a monstrous performance by Girmay in the mountains to topple him at the end.

Haven't seen enough replays, how did Ulissi being there, in good position last time I saw him, and finished behind everyone else? Was it Ewan's falling or he's just slower?

To me it looked like Formolo's pace was a bit too hard for him and his legs were just not what they should have been in the end.

That’s a dangerous play by VdP and if Bini really went for it it would have been disastrous for both. I have seen winners getting disqualified for such a move before. Bini played a nice guy here.

LS was not backing CE and BV not JT. A shame for crashes. Didn't plan to follow this Giro in depth. But i guess i am intrigued a bit on how cyclist like Almeida, Dumoulin, Yates ... will do. Or will Richie after all enrich his trophy cabinet some more.

Isn't Almeida quite explosive? I would expect him to at least match Carapaz and Wilco.

He's very explosive for a GC guy, he was just in poor position, which is a bit of a recurring theme for Almeida.

Jesus Christ. Found them on Spotify, and it's quite possibly the worst "music" I've ever heard. At least "real" jazz funk resembles some sort of rhythm and melody, not just random notes and sounds that my 2nd grade kids can make on their 50$ keyboards.
