That last climb should be hard enough for the real climbers like Kelderman to drop the fast guys like Cort, VdP, Albanese, etc. right?
it's just punishment from the race director for missing the break...The funny thing is that they have absolutely no chance of reeling them back in
Three-quarters of the breakaway will want to attack ahead of the final climb, not so easy for the climbers to just brute force this. Also, Cort and Albanese in particular climb very well on their day. That last climb should be hard enough for the real climbers like Kelderman to drop the fast guys like Cort, VdP, Albanese, etc. right?
I definitely would want Kelderman back in GC. He's always so unlucky
The one Bardiani guy who should be in a breakaway like this is probably Zoccarato, but he's out of the race because of a crash. 3rd at the last Italian NC while being in the initial breakaway, the guy has a great engine and is kinda wasted on a team like Bardiani.it's just punishment from the race director for missing the break...
Vendrame as well, at least if he's anywhere close to last year's shape. Van der Poel actually looks like the worst climber in there (from those bigger names), on paper.Three-quarters of the breakaway will want to attack ahead of the final climb, not so easy for the climbers to just brute force this.
