Well, Leemreize has surprised me honestly.
I find these type of stages the most enjoyableGTs becoming a bit dull with the amount of breaks making it to the finish and the strat to attack before the - what should be - decisive climb being 90% succesful.
4th in Avenir last year and riding for a team that develops young riders well, his tactical nous (until he decided to keep pulling all the way to the line) and ability to make the break were on point today but him climbing with Rota and Oldani really should be expected of him.Well, Leemreize has surprised me honestly.

Everyone thinks like that, just the mayor wanted them to go over the bridge to promote, well himself before the next election. Apparently even the family members of the victims of the bridge collapse were against it...I know they wanted to show off the new bridge but strange to be on the highway this whole time, and I would rather see them go through the old streets (just for my viewing enjoyment).
