Giro d'Italia 2022 Giro d'Italia, Stage 12: Parma – Genova 204 km (Thursday, May 19th)

4th in Avenir last year and riding for a team that develops young riders well, his tactical nous (until he decided to keep pulling all the way to the line) and ability to make the break were on point today but him climbing with Rota and Oldani really should be expected of him.
4th in Avenir is pretty meaningless for a last-year U23 rider who has been riding with the pros already. I mean, he was 3 or 4 years older than the winner. Scratch that, that was 2 years ago already.

I know they wanted to show off the new bridge but strange to be on the highway this whole time, and I would rather see them go through the old streets (just for my viewing enjoyment).
Everyone thinks like that, just the mayor wanted them to go over the bridge to promote, well himself before the next election. Apparently even the family members of the victims of the bridge collapse were against it...

I don't know anything about that, but i would've thought it'd have been a positive experience for the town. They get to show off their new bridge, and pay respect to the victims of the disaster.
