Also big shame for the race as he is an attacking rider and would have put it to Carapaz on the climbs and the descents

It's strange to see how quickly teams without a stage win yet give up the stage to sprinters. If they pressed hard on the climb they could get ride of the sprinters very easily, and there is no descent for them to get back on.
