Israel must feel pretty silly for working for Demare for the whole day. FDJ will be thankful.

Maybe the race radio does make it exciting after all.
Congrats to Demare. Confirms the great shape.

There's nothing worse that peloton catching the break in the last kilometer. Worse stage ever.

At least it's not the worst, just worse than some. :p

Nice win by Demare, though I would have preferred Bauhaus for total selfish CQ game related reasons.

Nothing better than seeing a breakaway doing the "finding out" part of "*** around and find out"

Why didn't Gaviria follow Richeze? No legs? Could've been his ticket to the stage win.

Considering that Maestri could go until 200m, they should really think if they havent given that away between 1,3km and 0,9km to go by looking at each other.

Both Maestri and Van Den Berg had something left in the last kms while they were doing nowhere near the work Eenkhoorn was doing. They definitely did not deserve the win.

Definitely no legs, his sprint was also a bit meeh.

Don't know.

Cavendish was closing gaps and passing riders and doing his own leadout before even launching, I think Demare was only really faster than Bauhaus here.

Yeah Eenkhoorn got *** over by his breakaway buddies there. It was funny cause Karsten Kroon was talking about Van den Bert and Eenkhoorn being friends like 2 minutes before that.

I mean they are friends I think, but Eenkhoorn can't be happy with Van Den Berg skippingt turns in that last 10km.

Even after today's sad news about Bardet, the GC battle could still be very entertaining maybe? Hoping? There are still possibilities ...

I get the complaints as I also don't like how backloaded this Giro is, but so far GC wise we've only had a couple of appetizers. The real race starts tomorrow, and holy sh#t isn't it hard as f#ck (expletives needed). Maybe the remaining stages are still not the best in terms of individual design, but one after the other they are basically guaranteed to wreak havoc and provide entertainment.

Definitely taken some interest out of the race. The main rivals for Carapaz now are Hindley and Landa. Porte is obviously soft pedalling and waiting for the mountains and he did a good job thinning out the front group on the previous mountain stage.
