So sad that UAE didn’t bring a strong mountain block for Almeida. It seems that he’s feeling good today and with a strong team they could create havoc on GC

Who else could be with him from this Astana team?

Dombrowski or De La Cruz. Just looking at the names they aren´t terrible. But of course it is 2022 Astana. Seems like Nibali is the only rider that is at least close to his best shape.

I think it's a bit of a free shot for Nibali to attack over the top of the climb. See what happens.

Carthy has timed this nicely, could augur well for him on the final climb. Ciccone has been working a fair bit, likely to try to stop Carthy getting back on. Buitrago is young and Pedrero is a good climber but lacking in weapons, on paper Carthy is the clear pick of them you'd say, but Cogne isn't the most challenging of climbs so it's not likely to be a pure H2H wattfest.

If Landa or Hindley feel good, they need to make their team go full Rubiera AdH at the bottom.
If Carapaz drops, keep on and win the giro. If he doesnt then you can go back to sleep behind his train.
