The sad thing is that it would even be improved if they just removed the Teglio climb and went directly from Mortirolo to Santa Cristina.Exactly, this was about as much as what was realistic with this design. Of course it was going to be nowhere near as good as a proper Aprica stage, but some people continue to pretend the riders make the race and route design doesn't matter
As is common practice on this kind of longer flat between climbs. Hence why the loop to Teglio is such a bad idea, it's added nothing. There was a lull after mortirolo, a lot of rider s arrived back
I don't think the GCs are out yet for the stage win.
Even better if you climb the Mortirolo via the Recta Contador (yeah, the name is still stupid)The sad thing is that it would even be improved if they just removed the Teglio climb and went directly from Mortirolo to Santa Cristina.
Exactly. Gap is almost down to 3' 30" already. Not necessarily likely, but perhaps it's closer than it seems.I don't think the GCs are out yet for the stage win.

Today is a stage for gc riders. We know it is bad when the breakaway is going to win this
? that would be dumb he'd better save energy. Ciccone is never gonna finish in the pointsWould laugh my ass off if Ciccone actually finishes ahead of Bouwman on the final climb.
Novak has been solid so far in the Giro.
Yeah, that was mainly wishful thinking on my behalf.? that would be dumb he'd better save energy. Ciccone is never gonna finish in the points
