Hirt was climbing the Mortirolo as fast as Roglic back in 2019, while being in the breakaway all day long. The guy is great on steep climbs after a hard stage.

It's either that they don't have it or dont have enough to actually attack each other without risking too much (aka they're cowards and happy to not try). A 30k flat time trial and Almeida would smoke all of them.

Would have been a better GT too as the 3 in front would have to go harder then

Compared to his late prime years he is actually doing a suprisingly good job. Pacing himself and limiting the damage. Expected him to blow up and drop behind Bilbao and Pozzo.
