Perfect day for Carapaz. But with Almeida out of the picture now, I don't think Landa and Hindley will allow him to lean on them as much going forward. So we should see more stop and go between the best climbers.

Landa might still need more time on Almeida to secure a podium though.

No, yesterday Hirt won against a bunch of 2nd and 3rd tier climbers, and today Buitrago won against a bunch of 2nd and 3rd tier climbers. The difference between the stages were immense.

Big gaps only because there are, at a push, five decent GC riders left in the race. The strength in depth is Giro 2020/Vuelta 2019 levels of awful.

You have to think that Landa and/or Hindley go long range on Friday? Or try to properly go Carapaz? Ineos aren't strong but they're unable to gap Carapaz uphill, and the TT is a bit unreliable
