Pfft. Dumo can do that and still win a Giro
I think Dumo did it on purpose: to lose some mass before a key climb (more watts per kilo). If he does it again it's game over for Yates, Carapaz and co.
Pfft. Dumo can do that and still win a Giro
...or maybe a mini time trialerI think you might consider VDP a tt-er now. 5th in TDF TT and 2nd here.
Call me when he gets top 15 in a pure drag race ITT.I think you might consider VDP a tt-er now. 5th in TDF TT and 2nd here.
at this point I fully expect Yates to do a Yates again and randomly lose the Giro somewhere we don't expect him to
So... what? What exactly is your point? You think Foss has one ounce of the talent that Evenepoel has?You also think Evenepoel is a potential GC grand tour winner so.....
My point was pretty clear. If you think RE has grand tour winning potential, your opinions about others grand tour potential is irrelevantSo... what? What exactly is your point? You think Foss has one ounce of the talent that Evenepoel has?
If Yates has 2018 form but all the way to the final stage I'll be so annoyed that he chose the Giro instead of the tour. He is the only person outside of Top shape Bernal and maybe Vingegaard that could possibly bother the 2 Slovenians.
What's your number? 867-5309?Call me when he gets top 15 in a pure drag race ITT.
When has he ever shown the potential to bother, let alone beat Pogacar?

The answer was in my original comment. You literally quoted it. But also today? When has he ever shown the potential to bother, let alone beat Pogacar?

Most dirt racers are pretty good at TTs because a lot of dirt racing is about drilling it for 30 minutes (XCC), 60 minutes (CX), or 90 minutes (XCO).I think you might consider VDP a tt-er now. 5th in TDF TT and 2nd here.
Power is POWER for tt's. There is also applying while staying within yourself and it looks like Dumo has forgotten very little about that. MVP is also genetically gifted so his top end is still in the future. Most dirt racers are pretty good at TTs because a lot of dirt racing is about drilling it for 30 minutes (XCC), 60 minutes (CX), or 90 minutes (XCO).
Yeah, noticed that aswell...Wait so Bike Exchange is no longer using Bianchi bikes? Is any team using Bianchi now?
Someone wrote here that he crashed.Yikes, 95th for Buchmann - really has fallen off since his promising '19 Tour.
According to Eurosport Germany Buchmann crashed during the TT. For this reason his bad time..
Kelderman looks sharp.
Buchmann crashed.
I guess Simon Yates still lives with his implosion on the Finestre in the 2018 Giro in the minds of many. Until we see him climb Passo Fedaia we will have our doubts. It's kinda funny that Yates absolutely torches everyone in a TT completely against expectation and nobody is like "yeah he's definitely the favorite now."
he did complain the corners weren't really hard enough. Most dirt racers are pretty good at TTs because a lot of dirt racing is about drilling it for 30 minutes (XCC), 60 minutes (CX), or 90 minutes (XCO).
Honestly........ not that impressive of a prediction. I'd me impressed if you topped it off with him winning, but SImon doing well or him "surprising" is not really much of a prediction. He has done super well in stages like these on other occasions.Good call Dekker Tifosi
