Hindley also a very strange case. Does not have a good ITT, never does anything, and still after yesterday's stage looked extremly disappointed and talking something about trying, attacks and getting a gap in the interview...

Wow this is so lame. Least attacking contenders I can remember. Even setting aside the legend Contador, Roglic, Pogacar, Bernal, Froome…all won their GTs by attacking and going off the front. Even Vingegaard attacked and got away from Pogacar for a while. These guys are only at parity because no one is willing to risk going into the red. They’re riding within themselves.

Hirt is one of those riders who gets better in third week. Should have been trusted more as a GC leader rather than a dom ages ago.

Considering how terrible the Tour and Vuelta routes are, I fear we may be in for the worst year of GTs in history. And naturally not a single organiser will learn the right lessons.

My hope for the Tour and the Vuelta is that the best and more attacking riders will be there
