At least he made 7 figures per year at Sky/Ineos, so he's pretty much set for life.5 years ago it would've been crazy to suggest that Rosa would end up trying for fairly pointless solo breaks at the Giro.

Organizers should do everything they can to absolutely nuke flat stages in GT's, especially in the Giro where theres no wind and theres opportunity to go inland and go over some hills. Especially now that they broadcast these stages from the start. Its so predictable and boring for everyone involvedGuys
Riders do indeed make the race
And the races made by riders in flat stages gets worse every year
Yeah no excuses. Also feels like breaks arent even interested in racing.Organizers should do everything they can to absolutely nuke flat stages in GT's, especially in the Giro where theres no wind and theres opportunity to go inland and go over some hills. Theyre the professionals lol, its hilarious to compare them to recreationals to protect them from criticism.I say more. They never rode a race bike for 100 km two days in a row and experience the leg pain you can have the second day.
It's not a Nintendo or Playstation game. These guys deserve also days with stage not so hard.
Could an average healthy/fit guy under 40 decked out in pro kit keep pace with the peloton on a day like this? I would think so, but maybe that's nonsense, I don't know.

Also, most of them have had 3 really easy days already
Recreational cyclist could definitely hang in there if they could ride in a pelotonCould an average healthy/fit guy under 40 decked out in pro kit keep pace with the peloton on a day like this? I would think so, but maybe that's nonsense, I don't know.

The watts they're pushing wouldn't even classify as recovery pace so yeah, most people who can handle 6 hours on a bike could keep up as long as they're comfortable drafting properly.Recreational cyclist could definitely hang in there if they could ride in a peloton

I don't know how fast Red Rick goes with his bike... but it has nothing to do with it.With this sentence I understand that you never rode at 40 kmh with a road bike.
