The front 3 are going to regret letting Hindley and Almeida back in, and probably not just on this stage. Carapaz failing to win that sprint against competition he should crush shows that he's definitely not a level above the rest.

Great stage for entertainment value! Curious to see Bardet, Landa, and Carapaz slow up in the last kilometer to let the eventual stage winner back in. Also, if Almeida rides this well on a day when he wasn't feeling good, how well can he go in the coming days if he feels great? Giro not over yet!

Jai!

It sounds like it was a great battle at the front!
Carapaz was adamant he could win the sprint of three, Bardet and Landa were so terrified of not having the chance to win in a three-up against Carapaz that they slowed down to mean that they lost time and couldn't get the bonus seconds either. It was Longo Borghini and Niewiadoma in Amstel Gold level shooting themselves in the foot.

GC is very nicely poised now. Lots of riders in touching distance with different routes to victory

What a Giro for Bora. Winning the 2 mountain top finishes in the first week.

Obviously the best climbing performance for Hindley since 2020. Also the best climbing performance for Buchmann since 2019. The question is what happened to Kelderman. It didn't seem like too bad of a situation to catch back up in the downhill. Also there were domestiques left. 10:53 down on the stage.

The story of the day is pozzovivo. Unbelieveable that he's up there.

I think it's over for S.Yates at the Giro. I don't hink he will start on Tuesday.

I quite understand Bardet's anger, but that's expected when a 3 riders sprint to the finish becomes 6
Congrats to Hindley nonetheless
