I've totally figured Yates out okay, hear me out.Yates is an entertaining rider, so I started to like him. Sadly, he still often surprises with bad days that no one expected beforehand. This is really weird. He and the people around him are so experienced, and in his age, he knows exactly what works best for him.
He was humiliated in Asturias few weeks ago, and humiliated again, today. How disappointed Yates and the people around him will be this evening. It‘s just a sad, weird story.
Yates tactically losing time, so he can go in the breakaways. As was planned.
THe team is in relegation battle they'll 100% drop Yates out and refocus probably for a Tour/Vuelta double while he still can. Or scoop Suisse or something.
Jumbo should've given up on Roglic after crashing out of the Tour smh washed rider wtf were they thinknig. They should give up on Yates as a GT rider imo. If he can't do it in the Giro, he definitely isn't against Pog and Rog in the Tour. Best he goes for stage wins or mountains jersey as he might be their best chance of that. If there's no injury or illness anyway, if there is, definitely need to pull him out.

The leaders never opened much of a gap and it was pretty stop/start after Carapaz attacked. The pace kept changing.Hindlley rode his own race and never panicked.Where did Hindley come from? Shocked!
Yes, it's just he's been nowhere since giro 2020 so I am really surprised he's at the top again like that. The leaders never opened much of a gap and it was pretty stop/start after Carapaz attacked. The pace kept changing.Hindlley rode his own race and never panicked.
So Bora-hansgrohe contested the win in every important hilly/mountain stage in WT since Volta Catalunya.
Hindley was 5th in Tirreno thoughYes, it's just he's been nowhere since giro 2020 so I am really surprised he's at the top again like that.
- I've posted for over 12 months that Yates should ride 3 GT's as a stage hunter When Yates is riding for GC and he has has a bad day HE never returns to form to win a stage - Better to quit the Giro and get ready for the TDF.
He came from suckwheeling Almeida over the entire last 5k. Very clever indeed as he knew that Almeida alone could close the gaps.Where did Hindley come from? Shocked!
Let them be. They keep underestimating Almeida. It will feel better this way…Almeida?
I think Hindley had problems last year which he seems to have sorted out? I think 2020 showed what he was capable of. He has worked hard and is back to his old self. I am not shocked at all since he is still only 26.Yes, it's just he's been nowhere since giro 2020 so I am really surprised he's at the top again like that.
He was podium in Giro 2020!Where did Hindley come from? Shocked!
I wouldn't get too excited. Right now even a podium slot in the Giro doesn't seem likely to me although they are at least in the running. In the Tour there's potentially only one spot open if nothing crazy or sad happens and lots of competition for it. I also think that a Podium for Higuita would be a huge suprise. I honestly don't even see a top5 for him as a realistic goal. As it stand right now he will have a bad team that will get obliterated in the TTT and he will ship minutes again in the second TT. How should he be able to come even close to the likes of Evenepoel, Pogacar, Roglic, Carapaz and Mas?Yeah, they are super good at the moment. In Giro, they still have Hindley and Buchmann for GC. In TdF, Vlasov will ride for the podium. And Higuita will go for podium in Vuelta.
Ralph will want a GT podium now in 2022. I think, Hindley could become 3rd in Giro, Vlasov 3rd in TdF, Higuita 3rd in Vuelta.
Next step would be a GT GC victory, in 2023 or later. And top step for them could be TdF victory, one day.
Impressive that he fell, had to change bike then shoes, and still was among 3 strongest.First time i seen these style:
Looks fast.
