2019 as well.I could be misremembering things, but I think this is the first year that the Vejle stage is after the TT
You don’t set up at fake tempo Ineos train and let Sheffield race, that’s what you do.Predictable Laporte win is predictable.
But then again, there is probably nothing that could have been done about that
For a moment, it seemed like Sheffield had paced himself better enough to counter.Predictable Laporte win is predictable.

Sad to have Thomas (4th, +15'') leading the peloton at this point.
Great racing today in the final kilometers. I would've wanted to see route like this in the TDF.
I’m sad for Sheffield, as I feel like he could’ve beat Laporte if Ineos has different tactics. It seems Ineos were satisfied to let Sheffield battle it out with Laporte knowing that Laporte would probably take it.

I dont understand Ineos at all. Why not open the race and race aggressively with their great team and Thomas and Sheffield? Its like the just revert into their boring shell when they have a leaders jersey, despite that not being their best shot at victory.
Ineos had about the same number. Your post makes no sense, when Ineos could try to block the road. You got to try something, Sheffield is going to lose to Laporte in a sprint anyways.Jumbo had five riders in the front group. You aren’t going to succeed with an attack and will just cost yourself any chance in the inevitable sprint finish.
