We're all impatiently waiting for EF to announce their roster, and that's had me thinking:

I'm pretty sure that back in the days before socialmedia, and even internet, people only knew who was gonna start when the teams walked onto the stage at the team presentation. So, I guess there's not really anything stopping the teams from just... not posting their lineups on social media.

Of course. Though, I suppose they'd need to allow for teams to change their lineup last-minute; between the startlist being posted in the newspapers, and the official team presentation.
Nowadays, teams can - and do - post lineups on socialmedia, but if something happens they just announce the change. But ASO - and other publishers - would probably want to be able to put the startlists in their newspapers at least a couple of days before the team presentation.

Of course, even further back in time, reading the startlists in the newspapers was the only way for people to know who was starting.

Well, there are a few things that bug me about him. First, it was after listening to his portrait on the Forhjulslir podcast. He claimed to have matured a great deal and regretted his extremely childish behaviour when he was young and evidently had a lot of guilty conscience.

The thing is, he may have changed a bit in that regard but he still strikes me as a very negative person. For example, he will leave Denmark these days because he can't bear to have the Tour in his country and not beig able to attend. Fair enough, maybe. Then he always complains about how the team only cater to their GC guys and don't care about TT specialists or their equipment. He even let such a comment slide just after having won the National TT when he obviously should have just been happy and not tried to antagonise a team where he hoped to be selected for their biggest race of the year just a few days later.

His interview after Roubaix was also extremely negative even though he had ridden a good race.

In my opinion teams this year really need to be careful and strict in this regard. As a lot of riders will abandon the race due to positive test. Currently they are all likely acting to relax.

I remember when following the Tour meant looking for the size 6 print in the results section of the newspaper the following morning to see the previous days' top three plus what position the British riders had finished.
