It's time for this nice little Spanish bike race. Two years ago, the benefitted greatly from being the first major (televised) bike race after the lockdown, going from just four WT teams in 2019, to a whopping 14 in 2020. Then they have "lost" a WT team each year since, so now they're down to 12.

Startlist for Vuelta a Burgos 2022 (procyclingstats.com)

Startlist now completed, so here's the updated Top Competitors list:

(Sorry, no room for Masnada)

Race will be shown live on ES Player and GCN.

Not yet finalised, but so far it looks like it will contain one Wout and one Slovene.

Some - expected - top competitors:

Took it up to 11, so the most important rider would get on the list.

Race will be shown live on ES Player and GCN.
Thank you for this post . Landa is also definitely participating unless something unexpected happen.

Let's see how our Fausto performs, generally climbs like Picon Blanco are a little bit steep for him. But finally we have Fausto, Vicnenzo and Mikel in a race together

Real shame that removing the MTF from Picón Blanco doesn't enable them to go back to using the better sides of Lagunas de Neila back from a few years ago, when they descended the side they now MTF.

Don't get it, why so few sprinters participate in spanish races like these.. 60% could end in a sprint here and Gaviria is the biggest Sprinter name?

It's Burgos. Someone will try to attack on Picon Blanco because "I has good legs".

This isn't the Giro

Can't blame them for adding small changes to a route that basically repeats itself every year.

It was just a bit of very poor observational cycling comedy.
I quite like the stage, which could result in action from further out

I am disappointed of the Almeida jersey. What's the point of just adding some small strips of the flag :( The national jerseys makes the peleton fun, but this is boring.
