I gotta give credit for the break, this is the most combative break in a completely pointless flat GT stage this season

What was his reply?
Anti voodoo then.Actually he wasn't asked about voodoo but about what tricks he employs to stay out of trouble in stages like this.

And his reply was?
First time you ever saw someone return to the peloton after a crash/mechanical?Isn't this illegal pacing for Ineos?
Shouldn't there be a penalty? Carapaz isn't even trying to jump from car to car. He's being motorpaced!
The Dutch pay good money to GT organisers to host the races, and the crappy boring flat stages which aren't as good as lowland racing in one-day races or smaller stage races (largely due to everybody having something to protect for three weeks rather than it being worth taking risks here, and a bunch of riders who aren't used to this type of racing being in the bunch) make Unipublic's disappointing mountain stages look better, so why wouldn't they be happy with it? As long as the Dutch don't design a demolition derby, which is always a possibility with their road furniture, and half the contenders crash out before they get to Spain, then it works for everybody. Except the fans, who have been served up a lot of awful Grand Départs in recent years. The Netherlands feels like it's hosted more GT starts than the actual GT hosts in the last 15 years.Noooo... commentator: the organizers are very content with this start in the Netherlands and will very likely come back here...![]()

No it isn't.This is blatant, however. Normally, they go car to car
Wasn't someone DQed a few years ago in PN for doing this? I think it was Pinot

No there wasn't.
Pretty sure it was Bardet. Or Barguil. One of the Bars.
I knew it was a french rider who was given the boot for doing what Carapaz did
That was not remotely the same as what Bardet did back in the day. Peloton was already shattered to pieces that day.Yeah, there was. Someone else also posted about it.
No I didn't. The situations in both races were completely different. You were right, Bardet
