@alejanvalverde has been involved in a fall within the last km. The Murcian, without serious consequences. "They fell in front and I couldn't help it. I was able to brake, but I still fell. It seems fine"

Thanks!
That was before the team meeting for this stage. Getting it yesterday was the gift for Gesink, they didn't commit to keeping it for 3 stages, so if you're probably gonna offload it to someone you ofload it to a Dutch rider who alos happens to be the best at placing himself in that bunch sprint. No exactly as expected. The only way he would still be leader was if he was the first Jumbo over the line. Not going to happen.
Teunissen looked fast could get a stage in this field.
PCS has a 4 second gap for those finishing after 64th place for now, but I guess that'll be changed.
Thijssen being involved in the crash indicates that the crash happened quite close to the front so I do assume the gap was caused by it.It looked like a legit gap in the field, not due to a crash. Riders simply lollygagged acrossthe line
True, but he also has shown in the past he can beat top sprinters. He lacks support obviously so needs to get lucky here.Easy to look fast when you do the whole sprint drafted and push no wind.

Tao GH also losing over 40 secs and Uran too. Looks like some guys are on the back foot already.
Unless these times are readjusted!!!
They can try but at the same time it's a bit of an annoying amount of effort. You need to keep Oomen, Kuss and Roglic up there and then you probably need to ask Teunissen/Affini to drop time deliberatelySo tomorrow they can let Oomen have the red jersey as well.
There sre still gaps showing here:an news on wether the peleton gets the same time? I see some GC stats where roglic isn't in the top 20 anymore and others where he has the same time.

Amazing comeback story. QS should sign him!If ever a sprinter really needed to show signs that he is getting his form back it was Bennett. He has looked a shadow of his former self for over a year now.
Masnada lost 0s and is still +0sSome interesting riders shipping time in the G.E.T. table.
O'Connor, Hart, Uran, Higuita, JP Lopez, Pozzovivo, Plapp, Masnada, Pinot, Buitrago, Froome, Vine, Padun, Hirt, Lutsenko, Meintjes...
Are they though? PCS puts most of them in the same time. Some interesting riders shipping time in the G.E.T. table.

Walt Poels crashing outside the 3km safe zone was a bummer, too.Man what a bad start to la vuelta, Masnada lost 36 seconds and Valverde lost 1 minutes. Stupid twisty finish
